What to Expect

What to Expect

At Ballygomartin Baptist we seek to be a welcoming, friendly congregation who are active in the community. Our fellowship is a blend of people from every stage of life, united around our love for Christ.

Our worship includes singing a blend of well loved hymns and newer contemporary songs, praying and reading from the Bible.   The main part of our worship each Sunday is devoted to growing in our understanding of God’s Word.  Through preaching and the teaching of God’s Word, we hear the good news of Jesus and His salvation,. Since we believe the Bible to be the very words of God, we place a high degree of importance on this part, with the expectation that if God’s word is truly preached then we can anticipate God’s voice to be truly heard. Whilst the Bible is a book that is thousands of years old, it is still God’s message to us today and remains relevant to us in all areas of our lives. Preaching is simply a declaration of what God has said in the Bible, and how it relates to us today.

Sunday School with age appropriate teaching is available for children during the morning service. The children worship with their family during and leave just before the sermon. They are also welcome to remain for the full service if you prefer.

Each Sunday morning we remember the Lord’s death and resurrection as we gather around the Lord’s table. On the first Sunday of the month we do this in the evening.

We look forward to welcoming you to our church.
